Who We Are
THRIVE is a Cameroonian public health association uniting researchers, clinicians, public health specialists, and community practitioners to improve health equity.
Founded to Strengthen Grassroots & District Public Health
Established in December 2025 in Ngaoundéré, THRIVE was created in response to critical health-system vulnerabilities observed across the Adamawa and northern regions of Cameroon.
Our Core Focus Area
We operate predominantly at the district level, with a steadfast commitment to primary health care (PHC) and community-based health interventions. Our focus is squarely on addressing critical health gaps in Maternal, Newborn, and Child Health (MNCH) and non-communicable lung diseases, such as asthma and COPD.
Our Guiding Institutional Principles
1. Evidence Discipline
Every programmatic initiative and clinical guideline we advocate is rooted in rigorous empirical data, bioethical review, and operational feasibility.
2. Health Equity
We prioritize vulnerable, remote, peri-urban, and pastoral populations who face the greatest structural barriers to quality care.
3. System Ownership
We work within public health structures rather than creating parallel systems, strengthening district capacity for long-term self-reliance.
4. Absolute Transparency
We uphold uncompromising standards of scientific integrity, governance accountability, and truthful reporting of results.
